HitchPiggy

Community guidelines

HitchPiggy works because travelers look out for each other. These are the simple promises we ask everyone to keep.

What HitchPiggy is for

HitchPiggy is for individuals sharing rides and travel costs while already making the trip. It's not for commercial transportation services, fleet operations, or paid driving as a business.

Respectful communication

Speak to fellow travelers how you'd want to be spoken to. No insults, slurs, or aggressive language — even when frustrated.

Safety first

Drive carefully, follow traffic laws, and never get behind the wheel impaired. Passengers should buckle up and respect the driver's vehicle.

Honest ride listings

Post accurate departure times, pickup spots, vehicle info, and seat counts. Don't list rides you can't actually offer.

No discrimination

Everyone is welcome here regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, age, ability, or background.

No harassment

Unwanted advances, persistent messaging, or any kind of harassment is not tolerated. We act on reports quickly.

Reliability and punctuality

Show up on time, communicate early if plans change, and avoid cancelling at the last minute when possible.

Consent and boundaries

Respect personal space, privacy, and stated preferences. "No" means no, every time.

If something feels off

Use the Report button on any profile or ride. Block someone if you'd rather not see them again. We review every report and follow up when needed.
